President Muhammadu Buhari Says Government Will Hunt Down 16 Nigerians killers In Burkina Faso

According to reports, 16 Nigerians were among the travelers who were purportedly killed in Burkina Faso. President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to take proper action against those responsible.

This occurred as he said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was working with the Burkinabe authorities through the Nigerian Embassy in Burkina Faso to guarantee that the troops who are accused of shooting and killing the Muslim pilgrims were brought to justice.

This was disclosed by Buhari in a statement made by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.

Remember how the Nigerian Jam’iyyatu Ansariddeen Attijaniyya revealed at a press conference in Abuja that 16 of its members had been killed by Burkinabe soldiers on patrol? According to reports, they were traveling to Senegal, the nation where their leader, Sheikhul-Islam Niasse, was born.

In response to the incident, Buhari stated that he learned of the awful news of the deaths of Nigerian Muslim pilgrims when they were traveling to Kaolak, Senegal, via buses that were shot at in Burkina Faso. The President offered his sympathies and prayed for the wellbeing of other stranded Nigerians.
