Tems Wins Grammy To Become First Female Nigerian To Win

Nigerian Singer Tems, has bagged her first Grammy award in the 2023 ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category.

The Nigerian won the award for her vocal and writing contribution to the smashing hit ‘Wait For U’ by Future featuring Drake and herself, making it her first Grammy award win after four nominations.

Meanwhile Viola Davis became the 18th person to achieve the EGOT – winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award, by winning best audio book for her autobiography Finding Me.
Also American singer Beyoncé won prizes for Best dance recording for the song Break My Soul, and traditional R&B performance for Plastic Off The Sofa. The awards bring her one step closer to becoming the most-awarded artist in Grammy history,
